Tour Experience

  • The tour begins with a drive to Kuala Baram Crocodile Farm and Mini Zoo, the first and largest crocodile farm in northern Sarawak. Set across approximately 22 acres, the attraction is home to more than 1,000 estuarine crocodiles and Malayan gharials, together with a variety of other animals, including cassowaries, sun bears, gibbons, porcupines and monkeys.
  • Following lunch at a local restaurant, the tour continues through Lutong Town, providing participants with an opportunity to observe the area’s development and changing landscape.
  • Participants will then visit San Ching Tian Temple, described in the tour itinerary as the largest Taoist temple in Southeast Asia. The journey continues through Miri town, passing the Tua Pek Kong Temple while offering an overview of the city’s cultural history and development.
  • The next stop is the Miri Heritage Centre, an arts and crafts hub showcasing traditional products created by the different ethnic communities of northern Sarawak. These include Iban Pua Kumbu textiles, Kenyah woodcarvings, Lun Bawang tree-bark products and Sarawak layered cakes.
  • The tour then proceeds to Canada Hill, where participants can enjoy panoramic views of Miri from the lookout point and visit the Petroleum Science Museum at Oil Well No. 1, an important landmark connected to the city’s petroleum history.
  • The final stop is Coco Cabana, one of Miri’s most popular seaside attractions. Participants can relax by the coast, view the iconic seahorse lighthouse and enjoy the surrounding cityscape, including the distinctive oil-barrel-shaped Miri City Hall. The tour concludes with a return transfer to the hotel at approximately 6:30 PM.
